The 19th Hole NorCal Golf Club captured the 37th Annual Northern California Golf Association Associate Club Championship by four strokes over Dragons Golf Club at Poppy Hills Golf Course www.poppyhillsgolf.com and Spyglass Hill Golf Course www.pebblebeach.com/golf/spyglass-hill-golf-course in Pebble Beach.
Teammates Diane Ventling, Clint Fredenberg, Scott Ferreira and Brian Strand posted a score of 126-128—254, 32-under-par, for 19th Hole NorCal Golf Club, while Dragons Golf Club, featuring Mike Gui, Davis Lee, Thomas Yee and Jeffrey Shih, finished at 133-125—258.
Scores are based on the two best net scores of a four-person team.
Golden Bay Golf Club carded a score of 128-136—264 to tie for third with Judge Smails Memorial Golf Club, which totaled 130-134—264, and Metro Golf Addix Golf Club, which finished at 129-135—264.
Golden Bay Golf Club, comprised of Bill Blastic, Tom Nguyen, Ed Chang and Kyle Tanitwong, won a card-off to take the third placed trophy.
No Mads Golf Club was sixth at 136-129—265, while San Jose MAGA shot 131-137—268 to tie for seventh with Bay Area Golf Group, which wound up at 132-136—268, Martinez Golf Association, which totaled 133-135—268, and UC San Francisco Golf Club, which came in at 127-141—268.
