An early voice and activist amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, Stephen Curry continues to undertake a global responsibility to the public, this time, by way of education. Giving his nearly 30 million Instagram followers around the world direct access to Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, M.D. (Director, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases), the national voice on all things COVID-19, Curry will host the special live Q&A on Thursday, March 26th at 10 a.m. PT with questions ranging from advanced safety practices and current state of affairs, to what the unprecedented shut down of the NBA and Olympics means for athletes like himself. Additionally, Curry is inviting fans to participate by submitting questions pertaining to the pandemic leading up to the live conversation. In these uncertain times across the world, Curry hopes to help bring a greater awareness and empower a sense of personal responsibility to the generation that has the most power to flatten the curve: Gen Z.
Previously, Stephen Curry teamed up with Warriors owners, coaches and players to donate $1M to Chase Center workers, donated over 1M meals to the Bay Area’s Alameda County Food Bank through his family foundation Eat. Learn. Play., and was among the first to sign an open letter (to be swiftly followed by 400 top CEOs) to pressure America’s private sector to take more action.
