Sheri Hauck owns the San Luis Obispo Women’s Amateur Championship.
Hauck, who plays out of San Luis Obispo Country Club, won the tournament for the second year in a row, the sixth time in the last seven years and a record seventh time at Monarch Dunes http://www.monarchdunes.com Golf Club in Nipomo.
Lorraine Doherty of Chalk Mountain Golf Course in Atascadero held the old record, claiming the title six times between 1990 and 1997, including four in a row through 1994.
Hauck won the tournament, which was first played in 1979, for the first time in 2009 and then reeled off four in a row from 2012 to 2015 before winning again last year.
This time she posted a 36-hole score of 153, 11-over-par, while Janet Yu of Monarch Dunes claimed the net title at 135.
Lynette Branch of Morro Bay captured the Flight 1 with a score of 142, followed by Suzy Davidson of Chalk Mountain at 161, with Liz Radvansky of Morro Bay and Lisa Grove of Dairy Creek tying for the net title at 142.
In Flight 2, it was Margie Landis of Morro Bay winning at 179, followed by Janette Sofranko of Cypress Ridge at 179, with Regina Neel of San Luis Obispo CC claiming the net crown at 138, followed by Rhonda Galyardt of Dairy Creek at 143.
Pat Smith and Su An shared the Flight C title at 213, with Donna O’Shaughnessy taking home the net title at 144, with Doris Nielson of Morro Bay second at 146.
