Anahi Servin of the Academy of Art in San Francisco took the individual crown and Cal Baptist of Riverside grabbed the next five places en route to winning a fourth straight team title in the PacWest Women’s Golf Championships at Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Ariz.
The Lancers carded a tournament-record score of 292-288-295—875, 11-over-par, followed by the Academy of Art at 296-299-312—907, Biola of La Mirada 325-310-310—945, Holy Names of Oakland at 308-315-324–947 and Dixie State at 318-311-319—948.

“It was just a total team effort from start to finish,” Coach Marc Machado of Cal Baptist said. “It’s a program-best for a 54-hole tournament and a conference best for anybody. I am just overwhelmed, it’s such a great stepping stone heading into regionals.
“They rose to the occasion and they dominated. All the records all the long way, they killed it. I am so happy. We have just been staying in the present. We have our long-term goals but we have to focus on the here and now. We want to take it one step at a time and build off everything, we’ve been gaining a lot of momentum and confidence. This young team is playing like a veteran team.”
Servin, a freshman from Paraguay, posted a score of 64-72-70—206 to outdistance five Lancers for the individual title. She led virtually from wire-to-wire thanks to her opening 64, and when things tightened up a bit in the final round, she recorded birdies on the first four holes of the back nine.
Erica Want led California Baptist in second at 73-66-76—215, followed by teammates Jocelyn Chee Yi Min at 71-77-71—219, Kristyna Abrahamova at 76-73-73— 222, Samantha Martirez at 75-72-76—223 and Yifei Wang at 73-77-75—225.

Christine Perez led Point Loma Nazarene with a score of 77-82-81—240 to finish in a tie for 18th that included Madison Beckett of Dominican at 77-82-81—240.
