Rino Sasaki of Washington claimed the individual title by two strokes with a score of 70-70-70—210, 9-under-par, while Akbane (pictured, left), a senior from Hawaii, shot 73-70-69—212 and Galdiano (right), a freshman from Danville who won the 2018 California Women’s Amateur Championship, finished at 71-70-71—212.
Ya Chun Chang totaled 72-71-70—213 to tie for fourth with her Arizona teammate Vivian Hou, who wound up at 71-71-71—213, while Raquel Olmos of Arizona State was sixth at 74-70-70—214.
Allisen Corpuz of USC carded a score of 70-71-74—215 to tie for seventh with Emma Spitz of UCLA, who finished at 69-72-74—215, while Ellie Slama of Washington State was ninth at 70-76-70—216.
Aline Krauter of Stanford shot 72-70-75—217 to tie for 10th with Alexandra Forsterling of Arizona State, who wound up at 75-70-72—217, and Therese Warner of Arizona, who came in at 68-77-72—217.
Katherine Zhu led California in a tie for 36th at 73-78-76—227.
Arizona rallied in the final round to win the team title with a score of 282-291-284—857, 19-under-par, followed by UCLA at 285-286-288—859, Arizona State at 295-286-288—869 and USC at 290-290-295—875.
Stanford totaled 294-291-295—880 to tie for fifth with Oregon, which finished at 287-303-290—880, while Oregon State was seventh at 299-301-287—887, followed by Washington at 300-298-296—894, Colorado at 299-299-304—902 and California at 300-317-304—921.
Washington State was 11th at 303-314-311—928, followed by Hawaii at 316-317-313—946.
Stanford played without Albane Valenzuela and Andrea Lee, while USC was missing Jennifer Chang, as all three earned the LPGA Tour cards for next season in the LPGA Q-Series last weekend.
Chang said she will turn pro immediately, while Valenzuela and Lee might play the Spring Season for the Cardinal.
