Located near Fallbrook, and 10 minutes from Pala Casino Resort, the seemingly diminutive Pala Mesa Golf Club measures only 6,519 from the back tees, but don’t be fooled by its bluff. Pala Mesa is all aces, and presents a solid test even for better players with a handful of exciting risk/reward opportunities throughout. It’s also one of our favorite “classic courses”, designed in 1964 by Dick Rossen who took particular care to incorporate panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, massive oak trees, beautiful sycamores and bountiful elms.
