Lee cracks top-10 in Q-School

Tain Lee of San Juan Capistrano continued to improve his position in the Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament, posting a 2-under-par 69 to climb into a tie for ninth after four of six rounds at PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Lee, the 2010 NCAA Division III national champion for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, recorded 65s in the first and third rounds, but struggled to a 77 on the second day. He birdied three of his last four holes in the fourth round to climb back into the top 10.

Cameron Wilson, the 2014 NCAA champion from Stanford, shot 3-under-par 68 and moved into a tie for 19th.

Brad Fritsch of Canada carded a second straight 6-under-par 65 and held a six-stroke lead over Rick Cochran III of Paducah, Ky., who came in with a 69. Ted Purdy of Phoenix and the University of Arizona was another shot back in third, also after a 69.

Every player in the field has earned conditional status on the Web.com Tour in 2015 by virtue of getting to the Qualifying Tournament finals. The higher a player finishes at Q-School, the more events he will be eligible to play next season.
