Reiter, Yoshihara win SCPGA Jr. Toyota Cup titles

Charles Reiter of Palm Desert captured the Boys Division title and Yokino Yoshihara of Irvine claimed the Girls Division crown in the Southern California PGA Junior Toyota Tour Cup Championship on the Mountain Course at La Quinta Resort and Club in La Quinta.

Reiter posted a score of 68-64–132, 12-under-par, to win by six strokes over Edwin Kang of Murrieta, who finished at 71-67–138, while Clay Seeber of Newport Beach was third at 73-66–139.

Kento Yamawaki of Encinitas shot 73-67–140 to tie for fourth with Wooyoung Choi of Anaheim, who totaled 72-68–140, and Jun Seung Yi of Murrieta, who wound up at 71-69–140.

Steve Sugimoto of San Diego was seventh at 69-73–142, while Raymond Navis of Nipomo shot 73-70–143 to tie for eight with James Song, of Rancho Santa Fe, who came in 69-74–143.

Darren Lin of Chino Hills carded a score of 74-70–144 to tie for 10th with Raymond Li of Rancho Santa Fe, who totaled 73-71–144, Cullen Plousha of Carlsbad, who finished at 72-72–144, and Tyler Guo of Irvine, who wound up at 71-73–144.

Yoshihara posted a score of 73-67–140 to win by three shots over Amari Avery of Riverside, who finished at 74-69–143, with Bella Setio of San Marino finishing third at 72-73–145.

Hailey Borja of Lake Forest shot 73-73–146 to tie for fourth with Yoonju Shin of Irvine, who wound up at 74-72–146, while Rose Zhang of Irvine was sixth at 76-72–148, followed by Chayse Gomez of Yorba Linda, who finished at 77-73–150.

Vera Markevich of Russia totaled 77-74–141 to tie for eighth with Angelina Kim of Los Angeles, who wound up at 73-78–151, while Casey Syal of Los Angeles shot 74-78–152 to tie for 10th with Serena Chon of Murrieta, who came in at 76-76–152.
