Pigman-Edwards win SCPGA Pro-Scratch title

PGA pro Kenny Pigman and Torey Edwards of Goose Creek Golf Club in Mira Loma posted a score of 7-under-par 65 to capture the Southern California PGA’s 2018 Professional-Scratch Championship by one stroke over three teams at Valencia Country Club.

Pigman (left) and Edwards collected five birdies on the front nine and three more on the back in the tournament that is played under the four-ball format.

Pro Robert Pang and Taylor Woods of Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach shot 66 to tie for second with Pro Kevin Wong and Andy Kwon of Oakmont Country Club in Glendale and Pro Vinnie Poncino and Dave Strang of San Clemente Golf Course.

Pro Steve Holmes and Nate Witson of Westlake Golf Course in Westlake Village totaled 67 to tie for fifth with Pro Josh Kendall and Bryan Kiss of Lomas Santa Fe Country Club in Solana Beach, Pro Eric Lohman and Chris Heintz of Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point.

Pro Michael Block and Adam Hopp of Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in Mission Viejo posted a score of 68 to tie for eighth with Pro Scott Heyn and Mike Bench of The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe and Pro Logan Scott and Jay Vaughn of Oakmont Country Club.
