Meyer, Feliciano win 89th NCGA Junior titles

Ryan Meyer of Oakdale captured the Boys 16-18 Division by two strokes over Caleb Shetler of San Jose in the 89th Northern California Golf Association Junior Championships at Lake Merced Golf and Country Club in Daly City.

Meyer (pictured right) posted five birdies and a bogey in the final round to record a score of 72-72-68—212, 4-under-par, while Shelter totaled 76-69-69–214 and Garrett Boe of Fresno was third at 70-74-71—215.

Trey Davis of Olivehurst was fourth at 74-70-73—217, followed by Ryan Graumann of Alamo at 67-77-74—218, Sam Sommerhauser of Lincoln at 71-75-73—219 and Bradley Vu of Monterey at 73-73-74—220.

Carson Levit of San Francisco totaled 72-74-75—221 to tie for eighth with Moses Greene of Hayward, who wound up at 74-76-71—221, while Matthew Sutherland of Carmichael was 10th at 74-74-74—222.

Gia Feliciano of Concord captured the Girls Division with a score of 72-73—145, followed by Jaclyn Laha of Pleasanton at 75-73—148, Mika Jin of Fremont at 71-79—150, Jacqueline Lucena of Chico at 73-79—152 and Faith Low of Foster City at 80-74—154.

Grace Bettis of San Francisco shot 77-78—155 to tie for sixth with Andrea Gomez of Santa Clara, who finished at 76-79—155, and Gianna Inguagiato of Menlo Park, who wound up at 76-79—155.

Lauren Shew of San Francisco was ninth 83-73—156, followed by Anitra Khoth of Stockton at 82-75—157.

John Heckel of San Jose shot 73-71-75—219 to win the Boys 14-15 Flight, followed by Sebastian Iqbal, also of San Jose, at 76-73-74—223, while Paramdeep Sodhi of Sacramento totaled 77-74-78—229 to tie for third with Dylan McDermott of Granite Bay, who finished at 77-74-78—229.

Baron Szeto of Moraga was fifth at 75-81-75—231, while Krishan Patel of San Jose totaled 79-77-80—236 to tie for sixth with Ryan Nelson of El Dorado Hills, who came in at 79-79-78—236.

Giuliano Kaminski of Los Gatos was eighth at 80-79-84—243, followed by Luke Jun of Mountain View at 88-80-81—249 and Calton Kong of Cupertino at 87-82-84—253.

Chanhee Ryu of Pleasanton took the Boys 10-13 Flight at 78-74—152, while Luke Montoya of Arroyo Grande shot 79-80—159 to tie for second with Jonathan Chen of Pebble Beach, who finished at 78-81—159.

William Yang of Sunnyvale was fourth at 82-85—167, followed by Richard Yang, also of Sunnyvale, at 88-83—171, and Brandon Knight of Pebble Beach at 92-89—181.
