Lahiri signs with Callaway Golf

Callaway Golf Company of Carlsbad announced that Anirban Lahiri of India has joined its impressive Tour Professional Staff.

Lahiri (pictured), who has won 18 pro tournaments around the world, will play Callaway woods, irons and wedges, an Odyssey putter, and a Callaway Chrome Soft ball.

“Coming to Callaway was an easy decision for me,” Lahiri said. “Their drivers have been so good over the years. Working with Roger Cleveland on my wedges has opened up new ways for me to sharpen my short game. And I’m working on some really interesting ideas with the Odyssey Putter team. So everything is exciting.”

Lahiri played for the International team in the Presidents Cup in 2015 and 2017, in addition to representing India in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

He plays on the PGA, European and Asian Tours.

“We’re fortunate to have Anirban join our staff,” Callaway SVP of Global Sports Marketing Tim Reed said. “He’s consistently won all over the world and we know that with our equipment, he’s going to be one of the top players in the game for years to come.”

The 30-year-old Lahiri joins the Callaway team that also includes Sergio Garcia of Spain, Daniel Berger, Xander Schauffele, Adam Hadwin of Canada, Wesley Bryan, Ollie Schniederjans, Aaron Wise, Sam Burns, Branden Grace of South Africa, Si Woo Kim of South Korea, Thomas Pieters of Belgium, Michelle Wie, Patrick Rodgers, Emiliano Grillo of Argentina, Curtis Luck of Australia and Maverick McNealy.
