CS San Bernardino gets first win since 2010

Cody Hall claimed the individual title and helped Cal State San Bernardino win the Notre Dame de Namur Argonaut Invitational by six strokes over Dixie State at Poppy Ridge Golf Course in Livermore.

The Coyotes won for the first time since the 2010 Hanny Stanislaus Invitational by posting a score of 309-278-296—883, 19-over-par, while Dixie State was second at 296-290-303—889, followed by Simon Fraser at 299- 288-304—891.

Dominican of San Rafael totaled 287-306-313—906 to tie for fourth with Western Washington, which finished at 295-308-303—906.

Saint Martin’s was sixth at 308-301-318—927, followed by Hawaii Pacific at 301-304-326—931, Northwest Nazarene at 306-312-328—946, Notre Dame De Namur of Belmont at 328-329-318—975 and Chaminade at 320-327- 339—986.

Hall, a junior from Murrieta, posted a score of 72-68-75—215 to tie for first with Brody Bonfilio of Western Washington, who shot 66-74-75—215. Hall won with a birdie on the first playoff hole.

Chris Crisologo of Simon Fraser carded a score of 71-70-75—216 to tie for third with Nicklaus Britt of Dixie State, who wound up at 70-74-72—216, while Nick Rivera of

Dominican shot 69-76-76—221 to tie for fifth with Brandon Steffins of Cal State San Bernardino, who finished at 80-67-74—221, and Dalton Stanger of Dixie State, who came in at 71-71-79—221.

Brandon Brame of Dominican was eighth at 73-72-77—222, while Trevor Frisby of Saint Martin’s finished at 74-73-76—223 to tie for ninth with Sacha Barbarin of Cal State San Bernardino, who wound up at 78-72-73—223.

Caleb Keohokapu led Notre Dame De Namur in a tie for 21st at 76-79-77 —232.

Rounding out the scoring for team champion Cal State San Bernardino were Tristan Stone in a tie for 11th at 79-71-74—224 and Jesse Toriblo in a tie for 43rd at 85-78-86—249.
